Cleansing your skin is a ritual. The process of massaging a cleanser into your skin while it gently lifts away impurities and environmental toxins, sets the tone for your entire facial routine. While this step may seem basic, it is genuinely the most important one in your regimen. Without proper cleansing, the active ingredients in products following (like toning mists, serums and moisturizers) cannot be absorbed effectively by the skin. Adhering to a cleansing ritual will not only benefit your skin indefinitely, but will increase the performance of every product that you use.
One year ago, we launched our Wild Fruit Serum, the first product in our Wild Alchemy Collection. The intention behind this collection was to add a touch of luxury to our existing signature line using exotic ingredients sourced from around the globe. The result: synergistic, supercharged products with focused refinement that transforms your skin.
With that being said, we are excited to introduce another beautiful creation to our Wild Alchemy Collection. The newest addition is: Phytonutrient Cleanser, an activated facial cream cleanser for all skin types. We are excited to have a third cleanser join the line; one that will surely elevate your cleansing experience.
What Makes this Cleanser “Activated”?
Healthy skin begins with an active cleanser. Let’s not confuse active as something that “suds” to achieve that deep clean feel that some of us look for in facial cleansing products. In fact, a foaming face wash can unfortunately strip your skin’s natural oils, leaving it dry, taut and potentially irritated.
To us, an active cleanser means that it has excellent performance in cleaning the skin, without compromising its natural moisture barrier. The nice thing about our facial cleansers is that they are pH balanced and contain a sulfate-free, ultra-mild surfactant called Sodium Lauryl Glucose Carboxylate derived from coconut oil and plant starches and sugars. This cleansing agent coupled with aloe vera juice and a botanical infusion, makes for an active cleanser formulated for the most delicate of skin.
While formulating Phytonutrient Cleanser, we wanted to enhance the cleansing process by adding in our proprietary serum blend, along with moisture-binding ingredients to improve skin hydration. What makes this facial cleanser truly activated is not only the formula itself, but the unique application of it on the skin.
How should you use it? We recommend applying a few pumps of Phytonutrient Cleanser to dry skin first, massaging gently in upward circular motions for 1-2 minutes. This will allow the skin to fully absorb all of the wonderful hydrating properties, while effectively picking up impurities like dirt, excess oil and makeup along the way. Simply rinse the skin and pat dry. Your cleansing ritual will be a new obsession, and your skin? Impeccably smooth.
Mangoes on Your Skin?
Introducing the Wild Fruit Serum – Brightening Facial Complex
How to Choose the Best All Natural Face Cleanser for Your Skin
Key Ingredient Benefits
Apple Extract
The apple extract we incorporate into this face wash is made in-house, at low-heat, for several hours using aloe vera juice. Aloe is the perfect medium for extraction, as it is a potent synergizing plant that enhances the efficacy of other ingredients it's combined with. Apple, too, harnesses this synergistic quality. When working together, this extract yields a wide range of skin benefits.
Apple is known to deeply hydrate the skin, by binding water where the skin needs it most. It’s unique carbohydrate composition makes this possible, thus contributing to keep a healthy moisture level on the skin’s surface. Apple renews the appearance of the skin, by softening and brightening it’s tone and texture with naturally occurring malic acid and vitamin C.
Mango Seed Butter
Similar to shea or cocoa butter, mango seed butter provides superior moisture without leaving the skin feeling oily. This tropical butter is luscious, with exotic nutrients that feed your skin in the most loving way.
With it’s unique fatty acid profile of palmitic, arachidic, linoleic, oleic and stearic acids, mango seed butter will help to create a smoother complexion, while increasing skin hydration and calming signs caused by environmental stressors.
Cold-pressed Oils of Tamanu and Acai
Tamanu oil is an ancient remedy from Southeast Asia. The oil is found in a nut inside the fruit that the Tamanu tree bears. This oil is so precious, that it takes nearly 100 kilograms of fruit (the amount the tree produces annually) to create just 21 cups of cold pressed oil.
Tamanu adds richness to our Phytonutrient Cleanser, with its remarkable healing and skin-reviving properties. This oil is the perfect complement to the other soothing botanicals in this face cleanser, making it ideal for your sensitive skin woes.
Acai, a royal purple berry found abundantly in the Amazon rainforest in Brazil, is a special treat for the skin. Acai berry oil corresponds to only 1% of the volume of the berries harvested, which is why it is a highly valued fruit oil in skin care products. Acai is teeming with antioxidants, essential fatty acids and vitamins B, C and E, which keep your skin healthy and vibrant.
Our intention with Phytonutrient Cleanser is to not treat it like an “ordinary” cleanser, but rather a cleanser that marks the beginning of a beautiful skin care ritual. Use it once a day (switching off between our other cleansers) or twice a day, for best results. However you decide to implement this face wash into your routine, your skin will become a fresh canvas with each cleanse.
