Essential Oils are quickly becoming a staple in the apothecaries of people all over the country, and for good reason. These small-but-mighty constituents have been around for over 5,000 years and are used all over the world as a tool for perfuming, healthcare needs and playing a role in rituals and ceremonies. Consisting of aromatic compounds that exist in the leaves, roots, flowers, stems and seeds of plants, these powerful oils are extremely potent—just twist open a bottle and the aroma hits you immediately!

You can use them in numerous ways from inhalation, topically, in baths, compresses and even internally (but we always suggest doing so under the care of a licensed aromatherapist). You can even use some of them on your kids, babies and during pregnancy.  They are a great addition to your self-care routine and are super easy to use.

We picked out our top 6 favorite blends from Dr. Mariza Snyder’s book “Smart Mom’s Guide To Essential Oils” that only take moments to make and would be a great gift for practically anyone this holiday season! Or whip a few up and add them to your arsenal.
