Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: I think that's kind of it as far as our little intro. For today's call, we will mainly focus on our basic four-step routine. This is the routine that we generally recommend that everyone do both morning and evening, which consists of cleansing, toning, using a serum, and a moisturizer. This is, as I said, just a general recommendation. I always tell people that I think it's best to just customize your routine as much as you can. Find what works best for you, what works best for your skin, and what works best for your lifestyle.
And then I'll talk about collections really quickly too before we jump into the line. I feel like that just helps to clarify things a little bit because especially if you're new to the line, it can be a little bit overwhelming. We have a lot of products. Our line is broken down into different collections. The two main collections that we have are the Signature Collection. All of the Signature Collection products have this tan labeling. These products are a lot of our best selling products. A lot of these products have been around since we first got started.
The other main collection that we have is the Wild Alchemy Collection. All of these products have the black and gold labeling. This collection is our luxury collection. What makes it our luxury collection is just that the products and the collection contain higher levels of activated ingredients. Activated ingredients are things like our bioactive A complex, which is our retinol alternative, and our THDA, which is our pure vitamin C. So higher levels of activated ingredients, and then also more exotic ingredients, so more globally sourced ingredients, things like mongongo oil and baobob oil, these more exotic ingredients that you don't typically hear of. So that's kind of what sets that line apart.

Then we do also have some smaller collections, but I tend to not go into those unless as we go along, they get brought up or people are wondering about them just because I feel like it's more simple to just focus on the two main collections, just to not confuse everybody.
All right. So that's my opening spiel. I think we had a couple more people join, but we can still just kind of go, kind of one by one.
Does anybody feel like sharing? You can let me know a little bit about your skin, questions that you have, a little bit about what you're looking to learn here.
Customer: I will.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Awesome.
Customer: Well, I'm 75 and my big concern is the wrinkles over on this side and around my mouth.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Okay, and what are you using now? Have you used any of our products before? Do you have a current routine?
Customer: I use a cleanser, then I use vitamin C, then I use a couple of moisturizers, and then I've been using this topology peptide. I don't know if you've heard of that company.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Ok, I haven't heard of that.
Customer: I'm not seeing much result though. I've tried a bunch of different lines that maybe some of these other ladies have tried too. I'm just trying to get help.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Okay. Well, let's see here. So there are a few different ways that we could go. Maybe we'll just kind of start out by talking about some options that are going to be a good choice for the concern of wrinkles or more mature skin. We'll just go through that kind of core routine. One product that we'll talk about is our Activated Night Serum because that is one that I would definitely recommend incorporating into your routine if your main concern is minimizing the appearance of wrinkles. But as I said, we will go through the core routine, so let's just start with cleansers first.
Cleansing is obviously the first step in your routine. Cleansing is, of course, removing makeup and impurities. A thorough cleanse is going to help prep the skin so that it can better absorb your treatment products. Your treatment products are the products that are going to pack the biggest punch with those high levels of activated ingredients. Let's talk about two different cleansers. The first one we'll talk about is the Aloe Herb Cleanser. This is in our Signature Collection. This one is our bestselling cleanser. People love this one. It's very, very popular. It's great for all skin types, so I tend to tell people that if you're confused or overwhelmed or not really sure where to start, this can be a good option because you just kind of can't go wrong with it. It's a creamy, nourishing cleanser. It's got aloe vera of course, which is rich in vitamins and minerals, phytonutrients, and enzymes. And then it's got some lemon essential oil, which is purifying and brightening. It also gives it a nice citrusy scent profile, which I think is part of why this is so popular. People really like the way it smells. There's some calendula in here, which helps to calm and alleviate any temporary redness in the skin. This one leaves skin feeling really clean and nourished.
The other one that we'll talk about is the Phytonutrient Cleanser, which is in the Wild Alchemy Collection. The Phytonutrient Cleanser is similar in that it's also a cream cleanser. It's a little bit richer, it's a little bit of a fattier texture. So a little bit more moisturizing, I would say, than the Aloe Herb. And then it's also got a bit more of those activated ingredients that we kind of touched on a bit already.

This one has an apple extract in it. So the apple extract is rich in vitamin C and malic acid, so it's good for brightening the look of skin. I know somebody on their survey had mentioned dullness and pigmentation as a concern so that apple extract is great in there. That one also has our signature serum blend in it. It's got some acai, which adds an antioxidant component. It's got a mango seed butter in it, so that's what gives it that really like rich fatty texture.
I think both cleansers are great, honestly. I use both and like both. I alternate between them. Most people who have mature skin and are concerned with the look of wrinkles could use either of these two cleansers and be happy. Like I said, the Phytonutrient is just a little bit of a step up as far as the level of moisture, and then also with some more of those activated ingredients like the apple extract for the dullness, the acai for the antioxidant benefit, that sort of thing. But, so I would start with one of those two cleansers.
And then for the toning mist, we have three different toning mists in our line. I actually might touch on all three just because somebody in the group on their survey had mentioned large pores as a concern. So I might touch on all three really quickly. So of the three that we have, we have two in the Signature Collection, the Neroli Toning Mist and the Rosemary Toning Mist. And then in the Wild Alchemy Collection, we have just one, the Botanical Hydration Mist With Immortelle. So typically for dry or mature skin you’re going to choose either the Neroli or the Botanical.
The Neroli is very popular, probably our best-selling toning mist. It’s a very simple formula, the aloe vera juice base, the neroli essential oil, which is derived from fresh orange blossoms, so it smells really lovely, and the aspen bark extract, which acts as a natural preservative and is a natural source of salicins.
So, both of the cleansers that we talked about are traditional cleansers. So to use them you're going to dampen your face, pump your cleanser, massage it into the skin, rinse it clean, and pat dry. Then you would mist your toning mist over your face and neck. The toning mist provides a dose of hydration and skin-supporting nutrients. It also helps with absorption. I believe on the packaging, it says to mist your toning mist, let it dry, apply your serum, and then apply your oil. I always recommend that people mist your toning mist and then while your skin is still damp from the toning mist, apply your serum and oil. That's just gonna help the serum and oil to absorb better.
So that's the Neroli. The other one that you typically might lean towards for mature, dry, or sensitive skin would be the Botanical Hydration Mist With Imorrtelle. Like I said, this one's in the Wild Alchemy Collection. The scent profile is very different from the Neroli. This one's much more herbal-smelling. This one, it's great for mature skin. It's great for sensitive skin. It's got a blend of four different types of chamomile in here. There's also some rose in here. This is Grace's favorite. This is one of her “holy grail” products. Grace has very sensitive skin, she is prone to temporary redness and she has very dry skin. So she's always my go-to girl for those concerns.
So anyway, this is very soothing with the chamomile and the rose and then it's also got the immortelle, which is a potent antioxidant. It's also got the frankincense in there, which is known to tone, tighten, and rejuvenate the skin.
So, typically, for dry and mature skin, for skin that's sensitive, these are the two that you would kind of lean towards. And mostly I would say people are going to be happy with either. When you’re trying to choose, you can consider scent profile. I know for some, scent is a big thing. I am sort of that way. As I mentioned, these have very different scent profiles, and then the Botanical is a bit of a step up as far as soothing ingredients and anti-aging type ingredients with the frankincense and immortelle.
The other toning mist that we have that I'll just mention really quickly is the Rosemary Toning Mist. This is actually my personal favorite, but I'm very congestion-prone. This one again, is a very simple formula with that aloe vera juice base and then the rosemary and some white willow bark. This one's just going to be more purifying, so typically it's good for more normal to oily skin types. But I just wanted to mention it because somebody did mention enlarged pores as a concern, so this could be an option that could be helpful for that. I always feel like I love this product because you're getting those purifying benefits with the rosemary and the white willow bark, but it's not drying at all. You're still getting that dose of hydration from this product, from the aloe vera juice base. So I just wanted to mention that one really quickly. But, so those are the toning mists.
The next step in your routine would be your serum. We have several different serums, so I feel like serums are where things get a little bit confusing for people. I do definitely, like I said, want to talk about the Activated Night Serum. This is an excellent one to incorporate into your routine if you are concerned with the look of wrinkles.
But let me just grab a couple of others that I wanted to touch on as well.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Let’s start with talking about the Anti-Aging Serum, which is in our Signature Collection. This again, is very, very popular. People love this one. This is one of our bestselling products if not our bestselling product. This one, I like to refer to as just a daily dose of skin nutrition.

It's really antioxidant-rich. There's buddleja extract in here. There's life Everlasting flowers. It's this very floral blend. This one is also very deeply hydrating. It has a non-GMO vegetable-sourced hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is a humectant that binds water to the skin. It's considered a super hydrator because it holds 1,000 times its weight in water. Deeply hydrating the skin is going to have a plumping effect on the skin, which will help to minimize the appearance of fine lines versus if your skin is dehydrated it's going to emphasize the appearance of fine lines. So this one, very hydrating, very antioxidant-rich. The scent profile of this one, like I said, is very floral. It's vetiver heavy as well. So this is a great one, again, it's very popular. People love this one, so that could be a good option for your serum.
And to back up just a bit, serums in general, are excellent hydrators. So there's the difference between dehydrated skin, which is skin that lacks water, and then dry skin, which is skin that lacks oil. Most people have a little bit of both, a little bit of dehydration and a little bit of dryness. So we recommend using a combination of both hydrating products and moisturizing products. Your hydrators are your toning mist and your serum, and then your moisturizer is your facial oil. So again, serums are providing that dose of hydration. Serums also are made up of a smaller molecule than a facial oil, so they're able to penetrate more deeply. Serums typically contain high levels of activated ingredients, so they allow you to really kind of target and treat whatever your specific skin concerns are.
The next serum that we'll touch on is the Wild Fruit Serum. This one is in the Wild Alchemy Collection. This is my personal favorite. I love this one. This is good for all skin types. The scent profile for this one is more fruity, as you might guess. This one has apple extract, so it's the same apple extract that is in the Phytonutrient Cleanser. Again, rich in vitamin C, rich in malic acid. Great for brightening the look of dark darkened areas of the face. And then also just helping with increasing overall brightness, overall radiance. So, if dullness or pigmentation is a concern, this can be a good choice. This one also has knotweed extract, which is rich in resveratrol. This one has Kakadu plum. This ingredient kind of sets this one apart for me a little bit. The Kakadu plum is another potent source of vitamin C, but it also contains phenolic acid. Phenolic acid behaves on the skin similarly to an alpha hydroxy acid. Alpha hydroxy acids dissolve the “glue” that holds the top layer of skin cells, so they have an exfoliating effect on the skin. This one also has Madonna Lilly plant cells. It has a really dense infusion of the Madonna Lilly cells. There are about 1.5 million active plant stem cells in each bottle of this serum.
We use plant stem cells in our products. You'll find stem cells in a lot of skincare products and oftentimes in conventional skincare products, they are derived from animals or even humans. Ours are plant-derived and these plant cells provide proteins, peptides, amino acids, and all of these things that really strengthen the skin.
So that is the Wild Fruit Serum. I love this one; it's my personal favorite.
And then what else? Okay, so the Activated Night Serum is the other one that I wanted to touch on. This one, like I said, is excellent if you're concerned with wrinkles, if you're concerned with signs of aging and minimizing the appearance of signs of aging, this is an excellent one to incorporate into your routine. This product contains our bioactive A complex, which is our retinol alternative.
I'm sure that you've heard of retinol before or Retin A, any sort of vitamin A derivative. They're kind of considered the “holy grail” in anti-aging skincare ingredients. But they can be harmful to health. They can be harmful to reproductive health. When our COO was working on creating this product she was actually pregnant.
And then also if you're using a retinol or retin A over an extended period of time it can start to thin the skin, which really isn’t what we want as we age. We don’t want to thin the skin, we want to have really healthy resilient skin. We want to support our skin’s natural barrier. So that's kind of why we wanted to create this product and why we chose the bioactive A complex.
The bioactive A complex is derived from algae, so it's a completely safe ingredient. It's a Made Safe-approved ingredient. It is similar to a retinol in that it has that renewing, resurfacing effect on the skin. It’s got a nice rich, creamy texture to it, so it feels really nourishing on the skin. Oftentimes conventional retinol products can be irritating and don’t work well for more sensitive skin types. This product can be used even on sensitive skin. Grace, as I mentioned, has sensitive skin and is able to use this. She doesn’t use it every night, but every other night I believe, right Grace?
Grace Murray – Annmarie Skin Care Marketing Assistant: Yes. Every night feels like a little too much for my skin, but every other night is perfect.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: The scent profile for this one, I never know exactly how to describe, but it is really light and lovely. It is not heavy or overpowering at all.
This serum you only want to use at night, as the name suggests, because that bioactive A can make you a bit more sensitive to the sun. And you also do want to make sure that you're using this with an SPF during the day. We have our Sun Love, which is our Everyday Sheer Sunscreen. We would recommend using this in the daytime if you're using the Activated Night Serum at night. So if you want to incorporate the night serum into your routine you could just choose another of our serums, like the Anti-Aging Serum or the Wild Fruit Serum to use in the morning. And in the morning you can choose if you want to just apply your serum followed by the Sun Love or if you want to apply your serum, oil, and Sun Love over your oil.
Do we have questions so far? That was a lot of info. So let's stop there and take some questions.
No questions? Okay. Well, I did want to mention, I don't want overwhelm you guys with serums, but I wanted to mention one other one just because it ties into our promo.
Our new Activated Hemp Serum. So this one we just launched recently and it is replacing our Activated CBD Serum. This one it's good for all skin types. It’s an especially good choice if you have sensitive skin. It’s very soothing, very hydrating, very antioxidant-rich. Similar to the Activated Night Serum it's got that thick creamy texture to it.

This one has powerful antioxidants like SOD and astaxanthin. It’s got both tremella mushroom and hyaluronic acid, so as I mentioned, it is deeply hydrating. This also has mangosteen oil and black cumin seed oil in it. And then of course, the hemp oil, which is infused from the whole hemp flower. The hemp flower oil is made from the hemp plant’s flowering parts, which are rich in cannabinoids, terpenes, and other phytonutrients that provide skin and health benefits. This one, again, has just kind of like this light, lovely smell to it. We partnered with Onda for the hemp. We have a lot of information on our blog about it, if you feel like learning more, but listening to the owner of Onda talk about the hemp oil and their extraction process is really fascinating. He talks about how people are typically so focused on CBD and compares it to someone going into a grocery store and looking to get vitamin C so they buy a packet of Emergen-C instead of buying an orange, but then they miss out on all these other beautiful benefits that the orange offers like the fiber, and potassium, and folate and antioxidants. Onda uses the whole hemp flower to take advantage of all of the beneficial compounds and nutrients that it contains.
Customer: So when would you use that?
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: You could use this morning or night, or both. And just like any of our serums you would apply it after toning, before applying your moisturizer.
Customer: Between this and the Wild Fruit Serum, which one do you recommend?
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Gosh, that is a tough choice! Honestly, I think both are excellent. With your main concern being addressing signs of aging I might lean toward the Wild Fruit Serum. Like we talked about, its got the phenolic acid from the kakadu plum, that potent dose of vitamin C, and the dense infusion of plant stem cells.
Customer: Okay. Thank you.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: You could even alternate them if you wanted to use both, but that is a lot of serums that you are investing in if you are also getting the Activated Night.
Customer: If I could throw this out there too. Carmen, I've been using Annmarie for many years and sometimes I'll get the trial size, so I'll try it for you know, two weeks, a month, however long it lasts and then I'll try another one and see which one I like best.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Yeah, that can be a great way to try new products. We don’t offer every serum, every product in trail size, but many of them.
Customer: Okay. Thank you
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Great. Any other questions?
Customer: Could I ask the large pore question?
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Of course.
Customer: Okay. So I'm very oily, and I also live in South Texas, so I'm working with 80 to 90% humidity. So I feel very hydrated and moisturized. I still will use, during the winter, more of the moisturizer and the oil in the morning and at night. But usually in the summer after I wash my face, I'm already oily, so I won't put very much on there and I'll just put it on at night. Plus, you know, if I'm going to work, I'm wearing makeup as well and I started using the Tupes and Co, which is already oily. It's great. I love it. But with the large pores and it being so oily that even when I put on makeup, I have to like rub it into the pores. Otherwise, I have holes all over my nose where there's no makeup. So I'm just trying to, I've been using Annmarie for many years and I'm trying to make sure that I am using the correct products and, you know, or if there's a new product that would be more helpful. Just seeking advice on that. I also have a very red veiny chin.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Okay, so what are you using now?
Customer: The Citrus Mint Cleanser and the Rosemary Mist, which I absolutely love. The Citrus Stem Cell Serum. And then I'll use the Anti-Aging Facial Oil. I notice that if I wear makeup Monday through Friday and I don't do the Resurfacing Facial Exfoliant or the mud mask I break out.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Ok, and how often do you use the resurfacing?
Customer: Hmm, whenever I can, I try to at least once a week, but sometimes it's once a month depending on how busy I am.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Okay. So Citrus, Mint Cleanser, great. Rosemary Toning Mist, great. The Rosemary Mist you can always mist throughout the day too if you are feeling oily. That can be helpful.
Customer: Even if I’m wearing makeup?
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Yeah. You can mist it over makeup. It won’t mess up your makeup. Then for your facial oil, you might want to try one that is a bit lighter like the Herbal Facial Oil for Normal and Combination Skin or the Herbal Facial Oil for Oily Skin. I actually love the Herbal Facial Oil for Oily. I use it often.
Customer: Okay, I think that I’m 43 and just felt like I should lean into the Anti-Aging products.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Yeah. I mean, I hear that, but I also feel like all of our facial oils, honestly, all of our products, even if they don't say anti-aging, they still are providing anti-aging benefits because they're all rich in antioxidants and all of these beneficial herbs and extracts. So maybe in the winter months, you stick with the Anti-Aging Facial Oil and in the summer months you use the Herbal Facial Oil for Oily.
Customer: Okay.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: So that could be helpful, and then I was going to talk about exfoliation a bit because exfoliating regularly can be really helpful for minimizing the appearance of enlarged pores. So the Resurfacing Facial Exfoliant, I think that's great. I also
Customer: I also use the Kaolin Micro Exfoliant every morning. So I will use the Citrus cleanser, rinse that off, and then use the kaolin.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Okay. So you use the kaolin every day?
Customer: Mm-hmm.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Okay. I definitely would not use the Resurfacing more than once a week, especially if you're using the Kaolin every day. That might be a little much. Typically I would recommend using the Kaolin maybe three times a week and then you could also use the Resurfacing once a week. You don’t want to overdo it with the exfoliation.
And then, I mean, it sounds like you're doing all the right things, honestly. The Purifying Mud Mask is great if you can do that like once a week, that’s excellent.
And then also we are launching the day after tomorrow our new facial cream, the Restorative Facial Cream which might work well for you. It is not a heavy cream, it feels pretty light. It has a bit more of a matte finish than you get when using a facial oil. It is good for all skin types and it works really nicely under makeup, you mentioned you tend to get oily when you wear your makeup. And this cream does contain our serum blend, so it is both a hydrator and a moisturizer in one, which is unique. So you could give it a try and see how it works for you.

Customer: Okay. Great, thank you.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Of course. What other questions do you guys have?
Customer: I have some questions. You have gone over everything but the oils, so I'd like clarification on that. And also, as I'm getting older and I'm very lax about skincare, I've never had to do much of anything. I don't wear makeup and don’t do a daily skincare routine. I just wash off with water and occasionally use a cleanser in the shower, but I need to start doing stuff as I'm aging and I'm noticing that I get these little bumps in the hollow of my cheeks. They aren’t pimples, they are just little bumps, and if I squeeze them, I will get, you know, it'll be like a pimple that comes out, but it's really hard to get out so I don't do it because then it becomes a big problem.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Okay, so it sounds like it could be milia, which are kind of hard little bumps. And I definitely would not recommend trying to squeeze and extract them yourself. If you want to have them extracted I would go to an esthetician or dermatologist in your area. But having a more consistent skincare routine, incorporating regular cleansing and exfoliation could definitely be helpful.
And it sounds like maybe it would be best to start simple. There is no point in a 6 step routine if you aren’t going to do it consistently, you know?
To start you could just choose a cleanser, probably the Aloe Herb Cleanser, and maybe a toning mist. The Rosemary Toning Mist would be a great choice for you, with the purifying rosemary and the white willow bark.
Then a serum, let me step back. So incorporating exfoliation is going to be important. Typically for something like milia, I would recommend a chemical exfoliant, like our Resurfacing Facial Exfoliant, but I feel like based on what you are telling me this might not be the best choice for you because you use it as you would a treatment mask, which might not be the easiest/most convenient to incorporate into your routine. So some other options…like we already talked about the Activated Night Serum. This is not technically considered an exfoliant, but it has that bioactive A complex, so that could be helpful. The bioactive A complex has that resurfacing, renewing, and exfoliating effect on the skin. So you could choose to incorporate this and use it at nighttime. And if you didn't want to get two serums, you could just use this at night and not use a serum in the morning.
One other option that I'll mention hopefully not to confuse you, but just to give you another option, is the Radiant C Mask & Polish. This can be used in a lot of different ways. It's a newer product, and it’s a really fun product because it's a multitasker. You can use it as an exfoliant, as a scrub, or you can use it as a treatment mask. It is both a physical exfoliant with the bamboo stem powder in it, and a chemical exfoliant, it contains AHAs from the hibiscus.
Something like this could also be pretty easy to incorporate because you could just mix it into your Aloe Herb Cleanser, so then it doesn’t feel like an extra step. And I would just really take your time as you cleanse with it and let it be on the skin for a couple of minutes before rinsing to take advantage of those AHAs. And this is fairly mild, you could use it probably 3 times a week.
Customer: Okay, and moisturizers.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Yes, so we have several different facial oils. Would you say in general you're more dry, more oily, more combination?
Customer: Probably more dry, except that when I tried the facial oil before, it felt a little too much for me. Too heavy. I haven't really used it since then.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Okay. And do you know which one you had? Was it the Anti-Aging Oil?
Customer: I had some trial stuff from you guys.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Was it the Clean Beauty Trial Kit? Did it come with an Aloe Herb Cleanser, Anti-Aging Serum, and a tiny facial oil?
Customer: Yeah
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Okay. Yeah, so that would've been the Anti-Aging Facial Oil, that is in the teeny tiny container. anti-aging facial oil that's in the teeny tiny thing. So that one is very popular, one of our best sellers. People love that one. It's a jojoba oil base. I mean, I personally love jojoba oil, for every skin type, but typically it is recommended for more mature, dry skin. So if you were wanting something a little bit lighter you could try the Herbal Facial Oil for Normal and Combination Skin. You could also try the new cream that's coming out tomorrow. That might be a great option for you as well if you were feeling like the Anti-Aging Facial Oil was a little bit heavy for you.
So either the Restorative Facial Cream or a facial oil that is a bit lighter, like the Herbal Facial Oil for Normal and Combination Skin. That one is a grapeseed oil base, which is a light-textured skin balancing oil.
Customer: Okay, thank you.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Good questions. Any other questions, guys?
Customer: I have a question. I have a lot of combination skin happening with some of the aging, dryness, and then rosacea, so some sensitivity, and then also large pores. So, I'm trying to find that balance while dealing with all of those different concerns.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Yeah.
Customer: And I've been using your products for about a month, but in learning about all these, I'm not sure I’m using the right ones necessarily, even though I did that skin quiz and answered the questions. So I guess just kind of wondering what do you recommend for that? And maybe it's a matter of adding in some of that exfoliating, which I typically have done anyway. What I've been using now are the anti-aging products, the oil, the serum. The Rosemary mist. And I will say I feel like my pores stay cleaner, they don't have all the gunk that can gather with using those products. So that's nice, but I’m feeling dry still.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Okay. So, sorry, let me review. So dry, sensitive, rosacea, aging and enlarged pores, correct? Are you already using the Aloe Herb Cleanser?
Customer: Yes.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Okay. So that's a good choice. I would probably stick with that. The Rosemary Toning Mist, sounds good. Then, you're using the Anti-Aging Serum. I feel like the new Activated Hemp Serum might actually be an excellent choice for you because it's really soothing, great for the sensitivity and any temporary redness. It’s hydrating, it feels really nourishing and it's got all of those potent antioxidants in there. It’s also got the black cumin seed, which could be helpful for addressing the look of enlarged pores.
This might be a great one to try when you run out of your Anti-Aging Serum.
Grace, how are you feeling about the hemp? Are you using it?
Grace Murray – Annmarie Skin Care Marketing Assistant: Yes, I have used it. I can't remember when we got that product, but I have been using it really consistently, actually, morning and night. And I must say, which this is wild for me to say, because I loved the CBD serum, but I love the hemp serum even more actually. I'm obsessed with it. Before I got the hemp serum, I was having such a hard time with dry skin. I was getting dry red patches and I was dealing with some breakouts. It was honestly a mess. And from my experience, this hemp serum has been so unbelievably helpful. My redness has gone down a ton and my skin actually feels soft and hydrated, which is also wild for me. So I feel like this is gonna be one of those products that I will rave about forever because I just love it and it smells divine.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Great. So yes, that could be a good option. And then for your moisturizer are you using the Anti-Aging Facial Oil right now?
Customer: Mm-hmm.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Okay, I mean, I feel like that could be a good choice if you're feeling more dry. You could also give the new cream a try. Are you liking the anti-aging?
Customer: I do like it. I don't feel like it's enough moisture. I don't know if it's the hydration piece, or the moisturizing piece. I feel like I'm more red and I'm not sure what's causing that necessarily. Is it the dryness? I don't know.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Okay. I do feel like the Anti-Aging Facial Oil is one that I go to often for those with dry and mature skin. It is very restorative and nourishing, but another that you could give a try that has worked well for me in the past and I know that Grace uses it often is the Radiate Oil. This one is actually in our Essentials Collection. There are only two products in the Essentials Collection. It's the Renew Facial Cream Cleanser and the Radiate Oil. These two products are offered at a lower price point than any of our other products. The reason for that is just that they don't contain our herb infusions, so they're just really simple products. They're really simple formulas, but they can be good for more sensitive skin types. And the Radiate does feel, to me, it feels pretty nourishing.

Another thing that you might try that could work well for you is using an oil with the new facial cream. You can mix the oil into the cream or layer the cream over the oil. Doing that would provide an extra layer of moisture.
Customer: Okay. And then the other thing you mentioned was exfoliation.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: So yes, exfoliation is crucial. Are you using anything now to exfoliate?
Customer: I have a product that I was using before as a cleanser that has just some real gentle granular-sized things
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Okay. Yeah, I mean, with being a little bit more sensitive, you probably want to kind of lean towards something more gentle for your exfoliant.
We have a few different options. You could do the Radiant C, that we talked about and just mix a bit of it in with your Aloe Herb Cleanser a few times a week.
We do have our Ayurvedic Facial Scrub as well. This is our most gentle exfoliant. It is also a dry powder that can be mixed with water or a cleanser. This might be the best choice if you are very prone to irritation or experiencing irritation or excessive redness, because it is so gentle especially when mixed with the Aloe Herb Cleanser.
Exfoliation is going to be important, especially since you mentioned having some congestion, but you want to be sure to be gentle and not over-exfoliate, especially with being more sensitive.
Customer: So you think focus on the moisture and the hydration that I need more with the the Hemp Serum and then maybe this Radiate Facial Oil versus trying the Phytonutrient Cleanser, which you had mentioned was more moisturizing than the Aloe Herb or the Botanical Hydration Mist toner.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: I mean you could do either of those cleansers. It just sounds like your skin is sort of similar to Grace’s and I know that the Aloe Herb works so well for her. So I feel like I would maybe start out by switching to the Hemp Serum and either trying the Radiate Oil or adding the facial cream. And then just see how that feels for you. And then if you were feeling like, okay, I want to try the Phytonutrient Cleanser, you absolutely could. That one I know does come in a travel size, because I am going on vacation and I just got one for my trip. So you could even give it a try in the travel size to see what you think of it. As far as your toning mist, the botanical could be a great choice. I mean, this is, like I said, one of Grace’s favorite products. The only reason that I was leaning toward the Rosemary Mist is because you had mentioned the look of enlarged pores as a concern. And you were saying that you feel like your pores are looking more clear. So to me, it sounds like this is working well and I would maybe just stick with it.
But you know, if you finish out your Rosemary Mist and want to give the botanical a try, go for it! Or maybe you want to alternate the two. You could always do that too.
Customer: Okay.
Customer: I'm sorry. You mentioned the Radiate Facial Oil is different from the Anti-Aging Oil in just the content of the ingredients. Not as many herbs. Is that what you said?
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Yeah, the Radiate Oil does not contain our herb infusions. And then it is a different base oil. The Anti-Aging is the jojoba oil base and the Radiate is a sunflower seed oil.
Customer: Okay, great. Thank you.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Yeah, of course. Any other questions? Are we feeling good?
Customer: Thank you very much. I appreciate this.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: you guys are so welcome.
Customer: It was very helpful.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Good. Well, I'm happy to hear that. I always hope that it's helpful and not overwhelming and confusing.
