A beautiful ceremony in the Andes – a place also so dry that I need a serious routine to keep my skin hydrated!
Just wanted to send you a note to expand a little on my dry skin routine for the wintertime (since many of you asked!) as well as tell you that there are only 2 days left for my special Holiday discount sale.
Since I know you don’t want to deal with dry skin for any longer than you have to, I’ll start with that!
My skin tends to get dry during the winter months and I can’t stand it! There are two reasons why it happens to me and likely you as well. First, my skin dries out because the air tends to be drier than it is other times of the year – so when there’s less moisture in the air, your skin is not as hydrated. Second, when you’re inside a heated home during the winter, you’re also going to be exposed to drier air with less humidity.
Both of these together is a double-whammy that could leave your skin dry, peeling, or cracking.
My routine to keep my skin soft and moist during these times is simple. I recommend you try it too if you’re tired of itchy, peeling skin.
Step 1. I skin brush every morning to remove any dead and dry skin.
Step 2. I use my Rosemary Peppermint Body Wash in the shower so that my skin isn’t stripped of its natural oils (other sudsy soaps will do this.)
Step 3. I use my Coconut Body Oil on my entire body after I shower.
Step 4. I use a hydrating oil that matches my skin type for my face.
Step 5. Finally, I use my Coconut Honey Mask on areas that tend to be drier than others – including my face, arms or where ever my skin happens to look like it needs some TLC.
This routine has given me some of the best results – particularly when I used to have to suffer through the winter with annoying – and not so pretty – dry skin.
If you’re having similar issues, I hope you try some or all of these techniques because I know they work. I know how frustrating it can be since I’ve experienced it myself!
If you do try the routine and it does work for me, be sure to send me a note and tell me about your experience – I love hearing your success stories! That’s why I do what I do!
