Who do you feel you are today? What event has defined your life?
At this point I seem to most identify with the role of “mother” 😉 I just gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, Oria Berry Monarch, on 11-20-2011. She is the primary focus of my life right now. We enjoyed a loving, peaceful, healthy raw pregnancy, followed by a swift, unassisted home lotus water birth in our bath, here at our land in Ecuador. My life has been a very colorful, eventful story so far with many twists and turns, however these last few months, stepping up into the new role of “mother” surely stand out the most prominently in my current perception – a huge learning curve indeed 😉
What was your biggest challenge and how did you overcome it?
It feels like the answer to this is: overcoming the conditioning that I experienced growing up. While my background is of course what made me who I am today and for that I am grateful, I can also see how many things I have been working at “reversing” in terms of learned behaviors…having a child is a huge mirror for who you really are and there are so many things that I experienced in life that I do not wish to pass along to the next generation. It’s so wonderful that we can choose where to go from here with conscious choices, rather than following a more “mainstream” model of child-raising.
If money was no object what would you be doing (or, would it be exactly what you are already doing?)
Yes, it would be exactly what I’m doing now 😉 With the added angle that I would *love* to create a charity that buys up huge areas of land and gifts parcels of it to bright, creative people who want to live there, grow food and enjoy community together, outside of “the system” – I think that would be the ultimate charitable endeavor 🙂
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
To realize that I have all the answers within myself and there is no need to “search” outside of myself for happiness or serenity.
Where and when do you feel most at peace?
At home, in bed in our outside bedroom with our newborn baby, breastfeeding in the moonlight under the starry night sky, as her daddy slumbers peacefully beside us…
What’s your favorite beauty secret or tip?
Colon hydrotherapy 😉 Clean yourself from the inside out with enemas, colonics or colemas and watch your skin look better and start to radiate with health.
What are your words of wisdom to other beauties out there?
Do your best to *enjoy* what you’re doing, in every moment, whatever it is…I truly believe that we’re here to enjoy…radiate loving energy as best you can and watch the joy and beauty in your life sky-rocket. 🙂
