We get plenty of emails from our customers asking for Annmarie’s skin care routine. Why not? It's a smart question.
We used to send what Annmarie does gladly, but now we do it a little different. There's a caveat to following Annmarie's routine — it may not the best skin care routine for you.
What you put on your skin is individualized just like you — it should fit your needs, your lifestyle and your own unique, quirky personality.
At the Back Bar, we have a group of team members who are different ages and have different skin types. Each one of us, uses a different routine and has different needs.
So, instead of just sharing what Annmarie does — she’s only one of many — we want to share the routines of a few of us here, so you can see how our skin care routines vary and how you can adapt some of what we do to get your own special glow. (Annmarie's is here as well in case you're wondering!)
This is also a great chance to meet the peeps who are on the front lines of this natural skin care revolution.
Here we go…

– Normal skin
– A few wrinkles
I'm a 30-something mom with normal skin, along with a few wrinkles around my face. I use our Aloe-Herb Cleanser in the morning right before my shower and then I LOVE using the Dead Sea Scrub twice a week to give me that “fresh scrubbed” feel. After I jump out of the shower, I'll apply our Purifying Mud Mask and follow up with our Coconut Honey Mask twice a week for skin that glows. Next comes our Anti-Aging Serum, Anti-Aging Eye Cream, then Herbal Facial Oil for Normal & Combination Skin.
Sometimes I'll be too tired at the end of the day to follow through with my skin care routine, but when I do I'll use our Aloe-Herb Cleanser, then Anti-Aging Facial Oil for a little extra moisture.
Last thing – my favorite is spraying our Neroli Toning Mist all over my body as a perfume and on my pillows & sheets before bed to relax and calm my mind, body, and spirit.

– Combination skin
– Occasional breakouts during menstruation
Having bit of an obsession with skin and skin care, I love to mix and match and create concoctions with whatever I can! I am, barely, still in my 20’s with oily to combination skin that is quite sensitive.
Depending on how my skin is feeling, I may use a different cleanser (Aloe Herb for regular days and the Citrus Mint for oilier days). After my wash I blend in the Anti Aging Serum all over my face and neck (LOVE this one), and then gently pat on a few dabs of the Anti-Aging Eye Cream around my eyes. I finish off with just a baby pump of the Herbal Facial Oil for Normal and Combination Skin to lightly press into my skin on my face and neck.
Then once a week I will blend the Aloe Herb Cleanser with the Ayurvedic Scrub for a soft exfoliant, and once or twice a month I will add in the Coconut Honey Mask to that mix and then let it soak into my skin for a good 15 minutes.
In the evenings, I follow the same regimen while possibly rotating my serum with the Citrus Stem Cell Serum for some extra love. This is also the time I like to steam my face, put on a Purifying Mud Mask and relax in the bath with a few pumps of Coconut Body Oil (amazing!).

– Mature skin
– Some wrinkles
Finally skin care that gets me out of bed! I am addicted to our Aloe Herb Cleanser and Ayurvedic Scrub. I mix the two in the shower (keep the Ayurvedic very dry, I put a small tub in the shower, it doesn't like any little drops of water getting in!). I use this 3 or 4 times a week and on the other days I do Aloe solo or sometimes mixed with a little Dead Sea Scrub.
Once or twice a week I love my at home spa time, Purifying Mud Mask followed by Coconut Honey, after I cleanse and before I apply serum.
After cleansing or treatment, Citrus Stem Cell Serum is next with a spritz of Neroli Toning mist (at this point my senses are firing on all cylinders and I am smiling.) I take a lovely deep relaxed breath as I pump a little Anti-Aging Eye Cream onto my index fingers ready to pat around my eye area, this is where I take a moment. 🙂 Some days, not all, I follow with our Anti-Aging Oil.
I can honestly say my skin has never been happier, and nor have I!

I'm a minimalistic guy, so my routine is short. I use the Rosemary Peppermint Body Wash in the shower. For my face, I use Aloe Herb Cleanser. I use the Dead Sea Scrub about 1-2 times a week with the Cleanser. After drying my face, I use the Anti-Aging Serum and rotate between all three facial oils — basically whatever is in the cabinet — I love them all. Annmarie sprays Neroli Toning Mist in my direction after I work out for the benefit of anyone within arms distance.

For me, it is all about knowing and listening to your skin. My skin tells me when its that time of the month, if I eat something too rich or if I am in a dry climate and I adjust my routine accordingly. But right now at this very moment I am happy with my quick routine.
Since I am a mom of a toddler, I need something quick and easy. While I am in the shower, I use the Rosemary Body Wash on my face and body almost everyday. Three days a week, I exfoliate my face with a mix of the Aloe Herb Cleanser and the Dead Sea Scrub. After I get out of the shower, I apply Coconut Body Oil over over my body, a little eye cream then a blend of the Anti-Aging Serum and Herbal Facial Oil for Normal Skin. During that time of the month, I will spot treat any occasional blemishes with the Herbal Facial Oil for Oily Skin and will do a Purifying Mud Mask.
Throughout the day I mist with my fav, Neroli Mist, Hudson always likes a little squirt in his direction as well, very cute when he takes my arm and pulls it towards him. His way of saying “my turn, Mommy!”
If I have time at night, I will wash with Aloe Herb, but honestly most nights I just rinse with warm water, mist and hit the sack!

– Normal skin
I keep it simple… every morning I use Aloe Herb Cleanser with the Ayurvedic Scrub, and at night I do the same.
On Friday or Saturday, or if Shivie is doing a mask, I’ll do the Purifying Mud Mask followed by the Coconut Honey Mask.
After any routine wash or special mask I’ll use the Anti Aging Serum followed by the Anti Aging Oil. Sometimes I use the Eye Cream, and sometimes I don’t.
I use the Coconut Body Oil every time I shower!

Being new to the Annmarie Gianni skin care Team, I began using the products about a month ago and already feel such a difference in my skin! Not to mention I wake up excited every morning to start my skin care routine, which is a first for me!
As a 29 year old woman with normal/combination skin I start off my morning washing my face in the shower with our Aloe-Herb Cleanser and 2-3 days out of the week I will mix our Ayurvedic Facial Scrub with the cleanser. While applying the Aloe-Herb Cleanser, I like to breathe in its heavenly smell, smile and think happy peaceful thoughts before I start my day. 🙂 Once I get out of the shower, I spray our Neroli Toning Mist all over my face and body — it feels so refreshing! I follow the toning mist with our Eye Cream and lastly, our Herbal Facial Oil for Normal Skin.
Before going to bed, I switch things up a little bit and wash my face with the Citrus Mint Cleanser. It seems to do a great job of removing my make-up and smells great too! I follow with the Neroli Toning Mist and then apply a few drops of the Anti Aging Eye Serum around my eyes, followed by the eye cream. Depending on how my skin feels, I'll apply the Normal Facial Oil if it seems like it needs a little extra love and hydration.
The wonderful scents of these products on my face help calm my mind and ease me into a restful nights sleep, with dreams of frolicking in fields of lavender on a sunny spring day.
