Emily Haupt — Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: So that’s a bit about us. From here, I’d love to open the floor — if anyone would like to share a bit about your skin, why you joined the call, or what you're hoping to learn, please feel free to come off mute, raise your hand, or pop it into the chat — whatever feels most comfortable for you!
Customer: I’m not sure how to raise my hand, but I’m here because of my daughter. She has Down syndrome and autism, and recently developed a reaction to SLS — sodium lauryl sulfate. She broke out all around her mouth, and it took me a lot of research to figure out what was going on. I realized SLS was in so many of our products.
Emily Haupt-Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Yes, it really is! That’s such a common reaction, and you’re definitely not alone in that experience.
Customer: Right? So I remembered Annmarie — I follow a lot of holistic wellness folks — and I thought, “You know what? I should check out her line.” So I just placed an order for my daughter. My skin probably needs help too, but honestly, I’m turning 69 this month, so I’m not looking to spend a ton on myself. But I’m open!
Emily Haupt-Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Well first of all — your skin looks amazing! And I completely understand where you’re coming from. And yes, I’d love to walk through what you ordered to make sure it’s a good fit for both of you. Do you remember what you chose?
Customer: I ordered what someone recommended to me, but I can’t remember exactly what it was. It hasn’t arrived yet. I’m definitely someone who likes to keep it simple — 2 or 3 steps max.
Emily Haupt-Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Totally get that. Let me take a quick look at your order and we’ll walk through it together. What’s the email you used to place it?
Customer: It’s sharon***@yahoo.com — and I live in Hawaii, just FYI. So we do have a lot of moisture in the air here.
Emily Haupt-Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Oh, beautiful! Where in Hawaii are you?
Customer: On the Big Island — Kona.
Emily Haupt-Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Amazing! I was just in Maui for my brother's wedding.
Okay, I’ve got your order pulled up here. It looks like you ordered the Aloe Herb Cleanser, the Herbal Facial Oil for Sensitive Skin, and the Probiotic Serum with Tremella — all amazing choices!
Let’s walk through them:
The Aloe Herb Cleanser is super versatile — great for all skin types, including very sensitive skin. If someone’s new to the line or unsure where to start, this is the one I usually recommend. It’s aloe vera–based, so it’s rich in vitamins, minerals, enzymes, and phytonutrients. Calendula gives it a soothing quality, coconut oil adds a creamy texture, and there’s a little lemon essential oil for a gentle purifying effect and uplifting scent.

Customer: Oh good — I can use it too then?
Emily Haupt-Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Absolutely! It’s wonderful for both you and your daughter.
Customer: She also has rosacea — that came before the SLS issue.
Emily Haupt-Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Ok — actually, Grace, who’s on our team and also joined the call, has rosacea as well. Grace, do you want to pop on and introduce yourself?
Grace — Annmarie Skin Care Digital Marketing Coordinator: Hi everyone! I’m Grace — I’m based in Seattle and I’m the Digital Marketing Coordinator here at Annmarie Skin Care. I also have a bulldog who is currently snoring next to me, so apologies in advance for any background noise!
But yes — I have rosacea and very sensitive, dry skin. I also deal with allergies that can flare up my skin, so I totally get it. I use the Aloe Herb Cleanser daily, and it’s been so gentle and supportive. I also really love our Botanical Hydration Mist with Immortelle, which I keep with me everywhere.
Customer: I saw that one — I didn’t order it though. I thought it might be too many steps. Why do you love it?
Grace — Annmarie Skin Care Digital Marketing Coordinator: Totally fair! I love it because it helps calm my redness and adds an extra layer of hydration. I even bring it to workout classes — my skin gets flushed easily, and this helps bring things back into balance. It has Immortelle, which is known for its skin-supportive properties, along with calming botanicals like chamomile and rose. Plus, it smells amazing — refreshing and a little herbal.
Emily Haupt — Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Yes, we have three facial mists, and the Botanical Hydration Mist is definitely the most popular amongst our team. It has frankincense and Immortelle, so it’s a bit more “herbal” in scent. If you prefer a lighter or sweeter scent, you might like the Neroli Toning Mist, which has the neroli that is derived from fresh orange blossoms. It’s also great for sensitive skin.
Customer: I love orange! That might be more my thing.
Emily Haupt — Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: That sounds like a great match then. But the good news is — the serum you chose, the Probiotic Serum with Tremella, is also a fantastic choice for sensitive skin. Tremella mushroom is incredibly hydrating, it acts similarly to hyaluronic acid, binding moisture to the skin and supporting overall hydration levels. It also contains olive leaf extract, astaxanthin — which is a powerful antioxidant — and a probiotic ferment.
The probiotic ferment is great for supporting balance in the skin. It can help to eliminate impurities on the skin’s surface and maintain a healthy pH. So this serum is an excellent choice for sensitive or reactive skin types.
The scent profile of this one is a bit more earthy. I personally really like the way it smells, but I have had people say it smells like dirt — it’s definitely on the natural, earthy side!
Customer: Well, we drink mushroom coffee, so there you go!
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: (Laughs) Perfect! Then I think you’ll be just fine. So yes, that’s a great option for sensitive skin.
Another one I really love for sensitive skin is from our Wild Alchemy Collection — it’s a bit more of an investment, but it’s such a beautiful product. It’s our Activated Hemp Serum, and I know Grace loves this one too.

We recently launched this serum as a replacement for our Activated CBD Serum. The formulas are very similar — the key difference is we now use hemp extract rather than CBD. And for some reason, even though it’s quite close in formulation, I’m just obsessed with this version.
I’ve always been a big fan of the Wild Fruit Serum, but I’ve been reaching for this one a lot lately. It has a really lovely, rich, creamy texture, which feels super soothing and nourishing on the skin. Especially during summer when I’m getting more sun exposure, this one feels amazing post-sun — very calming.
The scent is light and pleasant — not overpowering at all. Hard to describe, but really lovely.
The switch from CBD to hemp was partly practical. CBD regulations meant we had to sell it on a separate website, and we could only ship within the U.S. Switching to hemp lets us include it in our main product line and ship internationally, which is great for accessibility.
Formulation-wise, it’s deeply hydrating and packed with antioxidants. It includes both tremella mushroom extract and hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is a humectant that attracts and holds moisture — in fact, it can hold up to 1000 times its weight in water, giving a plumping effect to the skin.
So this serum has both ingredients working synergistically to deeply hydrate the skin. It also features astaxanthin (again, a powerful antioxidant), mangosteen oil, black cumin seed oil, and superoxide dismutase.
The hemp we use is sourced from ONDA Wellness. We’ve spoken directly with Steven, the founder, and he’s incredibly knowledgeable — his background is fascinating, and their process is very aligned with ours. What I found most interesting was his explanation of how focusing solely on CBD can sometimes mean missing out on all the other beneficial compounds in the hemp plant.
It’s like choosing a vitamin C packet when you're sick versus eating a whole orange — the orange gives you vitamin C, and all those other phytonutrients that come along with the whole food. That’s kind of the idea behind using the whole hemp plant.
Their infusion process is also very similar to ours — slow, intentional, and designed to preserve all the nutritional integrity of the ingredients.
So yes, the Activated Hemp Serum is another great option for sensitive skin. But the Probiotic Serum with Tremella is also excellent — you’re definitely starting with a solid choice.
And then lastly, it looks like you also ordered the Herbal Facial Oil for Sensitive Skin. That’s another great pick. This one doesn’t contain any added essential oils, so it’s a gentle option for easily irritated skin.
All of our Herbal Facial Oils are formulated with a grapeseed oil base, which is lightweight and skin-balancing. This one also contains nourishing oils like camellia seed, sacha inchi, and squalane — all great for maintaining the skin’s moisture barrier without overwhelming it.
So all three of those products — the cleanser, the serum, and the oil — are fantastic choices for your daughter. And the nice thing is, they’re all very versatile. You could absolutely use them as well — they’re formulated for sensitive skin, but suitable for any skin type. That way, you can try them out and see how they feel for both of you. If you decide later you want to branch out — try a different serum or explore our facial oils — it’s totally easy to customize your routine from there.
Customer: Now, I also have Annmarie’s sunscreen. Is that okay to use on her?
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Yes, absolutely! Our Sun Love Everyday Sheer Sunscreen is a great choice. It’s SPF 20 and uses non-nano zinc oxide for sun protection. It’s also packed with nourishing oils like pumpkin seed and buriti fruit oil, so it doubles as a lightweight daytime moisturizer.
You can use it on its own or layer it over a facial oil — it really just depends on your preference and how much moisture your skin needs. But yes, it’s gentle, non-irritating, and a great addition to her routine.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Thanks so much for sharing, does anyone else feel like sharing or have questions that I can answer?
Customer: Hi, Susan here! I’ve purchased quite a few of your products — maybe too many! I’m not using them all, and I’ve been wondering… do we really need all the different serums? I love them, but I don’t really notice a huge difference between them on my skin.
And I also purchased one of your sets recently — it came with three little bottles, more specialty products. I’m not at home right now (I’m caring for my mother), so I haven’t had a chance to try them yet.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Of course — and first off, I just want to say you’re doing such important work caring for your mom. Totally understandable that your own routine might take a backseat right now.
It sounds like what you picked up were our Concentrated Boosting Elixirs, which are fantastic specialty products. We’ll circle back to those in a second.
As for the serums — no, you definitely don’t need to use them all! You can absolutely choose just one serum and use it both morning and evening. We offer a variety because people have different skin concerns and preferences — and we also know that some people enjoy rotating their products.
But if you’re someone who prefers simplicity, you can absolutely choose just one. For example, you could stick with the Probiotic Serum with Tremella or go with the Anti-Aging Serum, depending on what your skin is needing.
Some people alternate — one in the morning, one in the evening — or rotate them throughout the week. It’s totally customizable based on what works best for you.
And maybe I’ll just go ahead and pull up what you’ve got here…
Customer: Probably a good idea. Also, I’ve had some precancerous spots treated at the dermatologist — just did that yesterday. It’s always my left cheek from driving, so I want to be really careful. I do use Retin-A at night. In fact, my dermatologist said it’s a good idea. But I always hesitate since it’s a commercial product. I’m not thrilled about using commercial products, and I know I could switch to something cleaner…
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Ok. If you are looking to make that switch, the product in our line you’d want to use is the Activated Night Serum. That serum features our Bioactive A Complex, which is a natural alternative to vitamin A (like retinol or Retin-A). It’s derived from algae, so it’s completely safe and Made Safe® approved.
The effects are very similar to a traditional retinol — it helps stimulate skin renewal, smooth texture, and improve the look of fine lines. But since it’s not a synthetic retinoid, it’s much gentler and better suited for sensitive skin.
You would want to use this one just in the evening, and it’s important to wear SPF during the day, since it can make the skin more sensitive to the sun.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: I noticed that you recently purchased the Wild Fruit Serum — which I absolutely love! It’s part of our Wild Alchemy Collection and is such a versatile product. I like to think of it as our “do-it-all” serum — it’s hydrating, brightening, and anti-aging all in one.
It contains hyaluronic acid for deep hydration, apple extract for a natural source of vitamin C and malic acid, and Madonna lily plant cells, which are rich in amino acids and peptides that strengthen the skin. It also has knotweed extract, which is a great source of resveratrol, and kakadu plum, one of the most potent sources of vitamin C. Kakadu plum contains phenolic acid, which works similarly to an alpha hydroxy acid — gently exfoliating and renewing the skin’s surface.
Personally, I’m a scent person — and I love that this one has a fruity, fresh scent that feels really uplifting. It’s suitable for all skin types, so you can absolutely use it morning or night. And since you just received it, it’s a great time to start incorporating it into your routine.
Customer: What’s it called again?
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: It’s the Wild Fruit Serum — one of my favorites!
Now, regarding those elixirs you picked up — those are the Concentrated Boosting Elixirs, and they’re fantastic, but they’re more of an add-on than an essential. If you're looking to keep things simple, you don’t need them. But if you like the idea of customizing your skincare or want to boost certain results, they’re a great tool.
These come as a set of three small bottles with a dropper top:
- Hydrate Elixir
- Brighten Elixir
- Revitalize Elixir
They’re very concentrated and designed to be mixed with a serum — not applied directly to the skin. So you’d take one pump of your serum and mix in 2–3 drops of the elixir in your hand before applying to your face.
Let me break them down a bit more:
1. Hydrate Elixir
This one contains hyaluronic acid and vegan collagen peptides. It boosts hydration and strengthens the skin barrier — perfect if your skin is feeling dry, tight, or compromised.
2. Brighten Elixir
This one is a blend of tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate (THDA) — a stable, oil-soluble, and non-irritating form of vitamin C — and sea buckthorn. A lot of vitamin C forms oxidize quickly or cause irritation, especially for sensitive skin. But THDA is a great choice for gentle brightening. It's great for minimizing the appearance of dullness, discoloration, or uneven tone.
3. Revitalize Elixir
Now Susan, this one’s especially interesting for you — because it actually contains the Bioactive A Complex (the same ingredient found in our Activated Night Serum) along with astaxanthin, a powerful antioxidant. This means if you’re not ready to commit to the full night serum, you can start with just adding this elixir to your Wild Fruit Serum in the evening.
So, for example, if you’re using your Wild Fruit Serum at night, you could add 2–3 drops of the Revitalize Elixir to get those vitamin A-like benefits without needing a completely separate product. Just be sure to follow with your Sun Love SPF during the day.
The beauty of the elixirs is that they let you personalize your routine based on what your skin needs — without overhauling your entire regimen. So if you love the Wild Fruit Serum but want more brightening or more hydration, the elixirs let you build that in.
You could also use the Brighten Elixir in the morning and the Revitalize Elixir at night — again, it’s completely customizable to what feels right for your skin and your lifestyle. And if you’re ever in a period where you want to pare back and simplify, just go back to your base serum and facial oil. It’s really flexible.
Okay I want to talk quickly about our Restorative Facial Cream. This was a pretty exciting launch for us — it’s our most recent product release, and one that’s been highly requested for a long time. People have been asking us for years for a cream or lotion-style facial moisturizer, but we took our time creating it because we didn’t want to launch just any cream. It needed to meet all of our high ingredient and performance standards. And we wanted it to be truly exceptional.

The reason we’ve always focused on facial oils in the past is because oils are the purest form of moisture. They don’t require emulsifiers, waxes, or fillers. Your skin’s natural form of hydration is oil, so facial oils are incredibly effective and readily absorbed. That said, we know some people prefer a more traditional cream — and this one turned out beautifully.
The Restorative Facial Cream is lightweight in texture but very hydrating and nourishing. It doesn’t feel heavy or greasy at all. The base of the cream is a helichrysum hydrosol, paired with an aloe, reishi, and tremella mushroom infusion, so you’re getting hydration from the start. Then it’s balanced with deeply moisturizing ingredients like shea butter, murumuru butter, and nourishing oils like andiroba oil.
It’s also packed with activated ingredients:
• Apple-derived exosomes to support the skin’s natural renewal process
• Pineapple ceramides to help reinforce the skin barrier
• Propolis extract, known for its calming and nourishing properties
The scent profile is light and pleasant — you might notice the propolis in it. It’s subtle and not at all overpowering, which I know is important to many of you.
It’s great for all skin types. Personally, I have congestion-prone skin, and this hasn’t caused any issues at all. In fact, it’s been a really beautiful addition to my routine. I always recommend applying it while your skin is still slightly damp — ideally from your toning mist. It helps lock in moisture more effectively. Think of it like applying dish soap to a sponge — if the sponge is dry, it just runs off. A slightly damp sponge absorbs better, and your skin is the same way!
This cream also has a more matte finish compared to our facial oils, which tend to leave a dewy glow. So if you prefer something that’s a little more velvety and soft in texture, this is a perfect option.
Customer: Can I ask a question? My name’s Lillian. I used your products years ago and absolutely loved them. For some reason, I strayed and tried other things, but I’m ready to come back and build a routine again. I’m 68, almost 69. My skin is dry and sensitive, and I have rosacea. I’ve also noticed some fine lines around my mouth — totally expected, but I’d still love to soften them. I’ve been using Retin-A at night (per my dermatologist), but I’m open to switching. I’m looking for a simple four- or five-step routine to get back on track.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Lillian, welcome back — we’re so glad to have you with us again! And thank you for that thoughtful rundown — it really helps.
Given your skin concerns — dryness, sensitivity, rosacea, and signs of aging — here’s what I’d recommend for a daily routine:
Morning Routine:
- Step 1: Cleanser
Aloe Herb Cleanser – Gentle, hydrating, and perfect for sensitive skin. It cleanses without stripping and helps soothe inflammation. - Step 2: Toning Mist
Botanical Hydration Mist with Immortelle – Super calming and hydrating. It contains rose, chamomile, and immortelle — all amazing for maturing or reactive skin. - Step 3: Serum
Activated Hemp Serum – This one’s nourishing, soothing, and great for both sensitivity and aging. It’s packed with hyaluronic acid, tremella mushroom, and astaxanthin. You can use it morning and night — or just in the morning if you’re still using Retin-A in the evening. - Step 4: Moisturizer
Restorative Facial Cream – A beautiful cream for dry and sensitive skin. It’s lightweight but deeply hydrating, with reishi, tremella, shea butter, and apple exosomes. Non-greasy, non-irritating — a really nice everyday option. - Step 5: SPF
Sun Love Everyday Sheer Sunscreen SPF 20 – Mineral-based and super nourishing. This is a must if you’re using any kind of vitamin A (like Retin-A) since your skin is more sun-sensitive.
And then for your evening routine options:
- Option 1: Stay on Retin-A
- Aloe Herb Cleanser
- Botanical Hydration Mist
- Retin-A
- Restorative Facial Cream
- Aloe Herb Cleanser
- Option 2: Transition to Natural Vitamin A
- Aloe Herb Cleanser
- Botanical Hydration Mist
- Activated Night Serum — This one uses our Bioactive A Complex (a natural, algae-derived alternative to retinol). It helps stimulate skin renewal and improves fine lines without the irritation.
- Restorative Facial Cream
- Aloe Herb Cleanser
- Or you could simply stick with the Hemp Serum at night and add in the Revitalize Elixir — it contains the same Bioactive A Complex plus astaxanthin, giving you those vitamin A benefits in a more flexible format.
Optional Add-Ons (if you’re feeling extra):
- Anti-Aging Eye Cream – A must-have for fine lines and puffiness. It’s cooling, gentle, and packed with rose plant stem cells and cucumber distillate. Pro tip: You can use it around your lips too to soften those smile lines.
- Anti-Aging Facial Oil – If you love oils, this one is beautiful. Super restorative and rich in seed oils like broccoli and chia. It layers nicely over your serum at night.
- Radiant C Mask & Polish – A brightening, exfoliating dry powder that you can mix with honey or your cleanser. Use 1–2x per week to gently smooth and brighten. For dry or sensitive skin, I especially love mixing it with raw honey.
Customer: Ok, great. Thank you.
Customer: Can you go back and explain what toners actually do? I’ve never used one and didn’t know their purpose.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Absolutely, Carol. Great question — and you’re not alone! Toners are one of those steps that people often skip because they’re not sure what they’re for.
Here’s the simplest way to think about it: Your skin needs hydration (water) and moisture (oil). Dry skin lacks oil; dehydrated skin lacks water. Toners — or toning mists in our case — deliver hydration and prep your skin to better absorb the rest of your routine. They also offer targeted skin-supporting nutrients depending on the blend.
We recommend applying toner after you cleanse, while your skin is still damp. This helps create a better base for your serums and moisturizers to sink in.
You can also mist your toner throughout the day as a refresher, or even after applying your cream or oil to help everything settle and absorb.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Hopefully that helps! What other questions do you guys have?
Customer: Hi, my name’s Christina. I just tried a sample of your Anti-Aging Serum, but the scent was overpowering for me. Are there alternatives with a lighter scent?
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Yes! Totally hear you — our Anti-Aging Serum is our bestseller, but it does have a strong scent. It is a floral scent profile and very vetiver heavy. If that’s not your thing, you’re not alone — I actually don’t use it either for the same reason.
Two great alternatives with lighter scent profiles:
- Wild Fruit Serum: Smells more fruity and vibrant. It’s packed with anti-aging actives like apple extract and Madonna lily stem cells, so it’s great for addressing the look of fine lines, brightening the look of dark spots, and improving skin texture.
- Activated Hemp Serum: Light and earthy with a very mild scent. Rich in antioxidants, hydrating, and calming – perfect for sensitive or aging skin.
If you’re using oils and find them too heavy during the day — especially in hot climates — the Restorative Facial Cream would be a great choice for daytime moisture. It layers well under makeup and won’t feel greasy.
You could pair your routine like this:
- AM: Cleanser → Rosemary Toning Mist → Wild Fruit Serum → Restorative Facial Cream
- PM: Cleanser → Toning Mist → Serum → Facial Oil (if desired)
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: So to recap, whether you're layering in a toner for the first time, searching for an alternative to stronger scents, or building a mature skin protocol from scratch — we have options for everyone.
Toners support hydration and absorption, creams and oils support moisture, and your serums are where the treatment happens. Mix and match based on what your skin needs, and remember — you don’t have to do every step every time. Even a simple cleanse, tone, and moisturize routine is powerful when using pure, effective ingredients.
Let me know if you’d like a full routine recap, personalized product links, or help with building your cart based on any of today’s questions. We’ve got you!
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Okay. What else, you guys? Do we have other questions? Are we feeling good?
Customer: What about dark circles around the eyes?
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Yeah. So, like I mentioned earlier, we have two different eye products. If you’re going to choose just one, I usually recommend the Anti-Aging Eye Cream. That said, they can definitely be used together—especially if your eye area is one of your main concerns. You can use one in the morning and one at night, or you can layer them.
If you’re layering, you’d apply the Fruit Ceramide Eye Serum first since it's a true serum. It’s that thinner consistency, that smaller molecule, excellent for hydrating. For me, using the serum alone isn’t enough because my eye area is always so dry—especially since I live in such a dry climate. But it’s still a great product.
The Fruit Ceramide Eye Serum has pineapple ceramides and sake peptides. Those peptides are awesome—they help retexturize the under-eye area and can improve the look of dark circles.
I know there’s a brightening ingredient in the Eye Cream too, and I want to say it’s licorice root… let me double check. Yep—there it is. Licorice root! That ingredient you will also find in our Citrus Stem Cell Serum and the Illuminating Pearl Mask. Both licorice root and uva ursi are lightening and brightening ingredients.
So really, you can go either way. If I had to choose just one, I’d say go with the Eye Cream. But if you’re someone who wants to use both, they can be layered or alternated.
Customer: Do your products come in different sizes? Like, if you want to try something smaller before committing to a full size?
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Yeah, we do have different sizes. Our general full sizes are either 50ml or 100ml for cleansers, and then for oils and serums it’s typically 15ml or 30ml.
If you're looking for travel or trial sizes, go to the shop dropdown menu on our site—it’s all the way on the right. There’s a “Trial Sizes” section and a “Sample Sizes” section. Not every product is available in these sizes, and they kind of rotate. Like sometimes we’ll have the Botanical Hydration Mist in a travel size, but not always.
And just so you know, we also have a pretty lenient return and exchange policy. So let’s say you invest in a full-size product and then decide, “Oh no, I hate the smell”—like maybe you got the Anti-Aging Serum and weren’t into the scent—we’ll still do a return or exchange within 30 days. Most of the time, we don’t even ask you to send it back. I know for me, if I have to send something back, I’m like, “Well, crap… I guess I’m just going to keep it.”
So yeah—it’s pretty simple. We really want you to love your stuff!
Customer: Is there a body lotion or body cream? I’m thinking, the largest area I’m putting products on every day is, you know, my whole body—because I swim a lot. The chlorine in the pool is really drying and harsh.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Oh yeah, absolutely. We do have a full line of body and hair products. The Radiant Skin Silk Body Lotion is our body lotion—we just have the one. And then we have a couple of body oils. There's the Coconut Body Oil, which is kind of our OG, tried-and-true oil, and then there’s the Divine Woods Body Oil. The body oils are really nice—I like to keep my Coconut Body Oil in the shower, and then after I shower, while I’m still damp, I just apply that.
And we also have the Palo Santo Body Butter if you’re looking for something really thick and rich.
Customer: Okay, thank you.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Yeah, good questions, guys. Anybody else?
Customer: I was wondering about just using plain old manuka honey on the face.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Oh yeah! I’m a huge fan of honey—especially Manuka honey. Honey cleansing is amazing. I’ve struggled a lot with breakouts and when my skin is really out of balance, I definitely lean into honey.
You can absolutely use it as a cleanser—just apply it to damp skin, massage it in, and rinse. It sounds sticky, but it’s really not. I always look for Manuka Honey with a UMF of 15—that’s something I learned years ago and have stuck with. You can also just use raw honey, but Manuka does have some additional benefits.
You can use it as a cleanser or a mask, and it's great mixed with our Radiant C Mask & Polish—that combo is lovely.
Customer: I have extremely dry skin and I love your oil. I haven’t tried the cream—do I need to if I already like the oil?
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: If you love the oil, absolutely—you can stick with it! The cream is really versatile. Some people use it on its own, some mix it with oil, some layer it underneath or over their oil. But if you're happy with the oil, you definitely don’t need to add the cream unless you’re curious to try it.
Customer: I haven’t tried the hair products yet. I think I purchased something from that line, though, because my scalp gets itchy—not flaky, just itchy.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Yeah, so for hair, we have the Sweet Sunrise Shampoo, Sweet Sunrise Conditioner, and the Smoothing Hair Serum. They’re all great for any hair type and they smell really lovely.
Customer: Does the shampoo do a good job?
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Yeah, it really does! And I think you got the Smoothing Hair Serum in your order too, right?

Customer: I think I did.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: That one’s a solid balm texture—you scoop a bit out and it melts in your hands. It’s got marumaru butter in it, which is sometimes called nature’s silicone. It leaves the hair feeling super soft and silky.
It’s really versatile too. You can use it on dry hair, just on the ends, or on damp hair. Grace actually uses it as a hair mask.
Emily to Grace: Grace, do you want to talk about how you use the serum as a mask?
Grace: Yeah! I deal with dry scalp too—always have. I’ll warm it in my hands, lather it into my hair and scalp—not a lot, you don’t need much—and then I just clip my hair up and go about my day. Do the dishes, clean, go for a walk… then shower. My hair has never been softer! And I have frizzy hair too, so it really helps with that.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Yeah, so that might work really nicely for your dry scalp too—you could just work it in before you shower.
Customer: I didn’t know you had hair products! Now I’m interested. This is Alina—she just woke up. We're at 9am here. She has psoriasis and is starting to lose some hair. What do you recommend?
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Gosh—for the scalp, you could try the shampoo and conditioner. They’ve got horsetail, nettle, and aloe in them, so they're really nourishing. And then you could also try the serum and just work it into the scalp.
Depending on how much you use, it might look a little greasy, but that’s fine if you're just doing it before a shower or hanging around at home.
Customer: But you don’t have anything for hair loss?
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: No, we don’t. Those are our only hair products. They could be helpful since they’re nourishing, but nothing specifically formulated for hair loss.
Customer: Emily, I saw that there are some salons and spas that carry your products. There’s one about 150 miles from where I live in New York. Is it worth going there for a facial or consultation?
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: It depends—do you know the name?
Customer: I don’t remember. I just know it was in Aurora, near Buffalo.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Let me see… Beauty Organix?
Customer: Yes!
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Yeah, I don’t think they offer facials. That one’s more of a clean beauty boutique. So it could be fun to visit, but I don’t think you’ll get much more than what you’re getting here—talking about the products and getting education.
Customer: Oh okay, thanks. You just saved me a long drive!
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Still could be fun to go—I want to go!
Good questions, everyone. Okay, we’ve got a few minutes left. Any last questions?
Customer: How long do these products keep? Once opened? And unopened?
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Everything has an expiration date printed on the bottom of the bottle. It’s in yellow ink, so it’s kind of hard to see. But that date is good whether the product is opened or unopened.
If you buy something during a big sale and want to stock up, you can put extras in the fridge to keep them fresh longer—but that’s optional.
We can’t officially say things are good past the expiration date, but we’ve used expired products ourselves, and they’re usually totally fine.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Did we already drop the Customer Care email in the chat in case you need it?
Customer: Yeah, I see it.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Great. Alright, you guys—I think that’s it! I hope everyone has an awesome afternoon—or morning, if it’s still morning where you are. Thanks so much for hanging out, asking great questions, and just being a fun group.
Customers: Thank you. Very helpful! Have a great afternoon—bye.
