Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: So that is a bit about us. I do usually like to touch on collections really quickly before we jump in, just because I feel like we have a lot of products in our line, which I think is great. We kind of have the intention that, anything you’re looking for, we have a clean option for you, you know? But if you’re new to the line, or new to skincare, it can feel really overwhelming. So hopefully this call will help.
Within the line, we have a few different collections. The two main collections are the Signature Collection and the Wild Alchemy Collection. The Signature Collection has tan labels—these are a lot of our bestselling products, some of which have been around since we first got started. The Wild Alchemy Collection has black and gold labels. It’s our luxury collection, and what makes it luxury is that the products contain higher levels of activated ingredients, more exotic botanicals like baobab and mongongo oils, and the crafting process is a little more labor-intensive compared to the Signature line.
We do have some other smaller collections, but these are the two main ones we’ll focus on today, just to keep things simple. We can definitely dive into the others if they come up.
And then kind of the basic routine we generally recommend—for both morning and evening—is cleanser, toner, serum, and moisturizer. I always tell people this is a little bit flexible. It’s best to really just find what works best for you, your skin, and your lifestyle.
Maybe you’re brand new to skincare and currently don’t use anything on your face, and maybe four steps feels like a lot. It’s totally fine to start with two. Or maybe you love skincare and want a six-step routine—we can do that too. It’s definitely customizable.
From there we can just jump in and hear from you all. Does anybody want to share a little about your skin, your current routine, if you’ve used our products before, or any questions you’re looking to have answered today?
Customer: So I don’t have my products in front of me. I’m gonna excuse myself and go grab them. But I started using them sometime last winter, before Christmas. You were offering a package of trial sizes, and I was mainly looking for lip balm. I loved the lip balm so much that I ordered another five-pack, and used them as giveaways at Christmas. People loved it.
Then I ran out of all that, and I was thinking about reordering. I got a 25% off coupon, yay, and I got a little confused about ordering. I don’t know what was going on on the internet, things were popping in that I didn’t mean to get, and I finally hit submit to get two products—and the second one is not really what I wanted. But I thought maybe after this I would want it.
I just want something very basic. The main thing I was looking for was the cleanser, and I also got one of the mists or toners. Then I was looking for a basic moisturizer, but I still have some of an old product, so I’m not in a rush on that. The product I got that I didn’t really want was—I think it was an Anti-Aging Eye Cream. And what I really just wanted was maybe the basic serum.
So that’s a lot of words before I’ve even grabbed the products. Let me go get them and maybe we can come back to me in a minute.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Okay, perfect. That sounds like a good plan. While she grabs her products, does anybody else want to share about your skin, why you joined the call, or any questions you have?
Customer: Sorry I’m late.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: No problem.
Customer: I’ve been using these products for a long, long time. So I’m doing the whole regimen, and I think my confusion is that when something new comes out, I think, “Oh, this is great,” and I look into it. I have aging skin—I’m 70—so I’m dealing with all the little changes that come with that, and I’m trying to zone in on exactly what’s best for my skin at this point.
I do the serum, I do the whole thing. But I’m just trying to figure out what really is best for me. I have all the anti-aging products, and I also just bought some of the new ones—I think I put that in my pre-Zoom form. The new moisturizing cream, the new serum, and one other new product. I just want to make sure these are really going to benefit my skin.
The products are just astounding to me. I love them. I give a lot of stuff away as gifts to get people to try them because it’s a really fabulous line.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Oh, we so appreciate that. Thank you!
So maybe we can just go step by step and see what you have and if it’s the best fit for you.
Are you using the Aloe Herb Cleanser?

Customer: Yes, Aloe Herb.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Perfect. That one is great. It’s our bestselling cleanser and it’s a great starting point. It’s creamy and nourishing, with aloe vera, which is rich in vitamins, minerals, phytonutrients, and enzymes. It also has lemon essential oil, which is purifying and brightening, and gives it that nice citrusy scent. Plus some coconut oil for a soft, creamy texture.
You absolutely can stick with that, but I’ll give you another option as well—the Phytonutrient Cleanser from our Wild Alchemy Collection. That one is also a cream cleanser, but it’s richer in texture thanks to mango seed butter. It has apple extract for vitamin C and malic acid, which are great for brightening, plus our signature serum blend and acai for added antioxidants.
I use both and love them. The Phytonutrient Cleanser is just a little more moisturizing and more activated in terms of ingredients, so it’s a great option if your skin tends to be more dry or mature.
And then are you using a toning mist, like maybe the Neroli?
Customer: Yes, Neroli. I have the Neroli and also the Rosemary.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Oh, okay. Perfect. Yeah, we can touch on each of the toning mists. A toning mist is something that you kind of can’t go wrong with—like, you're not going to choose the wrong one and have it be a disaster for your skin. In general, toners add a dose of hydration and skin-supporting nutrients, and they also really help with product absorption.
It’s actually recommended to apply your serum and your oil while your skin is still slightly damp, ideally from your toning mist. That helps everything absorb better. I know our packaging says to mist and let it dry before applying your serum, and if you’re doing that and loving it, that’s totally fine. But in general, applying serums and oils to slightly damp skin works better. Even if you're keeping things simple—maybe you only have a cleanser and a moisturizer—I’d still recommend applying your moisturizer while your skin is slightly damp, even if it’s just with water.
It’s kind of like a sponge. You're not going to put dish soap on a dry sponge—it just runs right off. You dampen the sponge first so it can actually absorb the product. It’s the same idea with your skin.
So, we have three toning mists: the Neroli Toning Mist, the Rosemary Toning Mist, and the Botanical Hydration Mist With Immortelle.
The Neroli and Rosemary are both in the Signature Collection. The Neroli is great for pretty much all skin types—normal, dry, even a little sensitive. I would guess it’s the most popular in this group. It has a really simple formula with an aloe vera juice base and neroli essential oil, which is distilled from fresh orange blossoms. It smells beautiful, and I think that’s part of why people love it so much. It also includes aspen bark extract, which helps preserve the product and is a natural source of salicin.
The Rosemary Toning Mist is also really simple in its formula—aloe vera juice base, rosemary, and white willow bark, which is another natural source of salicin. This one is great for normal, combination, and oily skin types. I personally love the rosemary because I tend to be more breakout-prone.
And then the Botanical Hydration Mist With Immortelle is from the Wild Alchemy Collection. That one is good for all skin types but is especially great if you have extremely sensitive skin. It has a blend of four different chamomiles and some rose, along with frankincense, which is known for helping to tone and rejuvenate. It also contains immortelle, a powerful antioxidant.
Scent-wise, the Botanical Hydration Mist is more herbal, the Neroli smells a bit sweeter thanks to the orange blossom, and the Rosemary smells very fresh and herbal, just like rosemary.
After you cleanse your skin—rinse and pat dry—you’ll mist over your face and neck with your toning mist. Then, while your skin is still damp, apply your serum and your oil. You can also use your mist throughout the day to boost hydration or to refresh your skin. Or, if you're more oily, the rosemary is nice for balancing and purifying throughout the day.
I love toner. It’s one of those steps people tend to skip, but I can’t live without it. And honestly, I tend to be kind of lazy and rushed in the mornings, so sometimes I just mist my toning mist and put on eye cream, and that’s it.
Customer: And you can get away with that?
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Yeah, I mean, I feel better when I do the full routine, but I don’t always have time for that.
And then—so which serum do you have?
Customer: The Anti-Aging.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: And then you also said you just got the Hemp?
Customer: Yes. But I’ve been using the older Hemp too—the one that isn’t the activated, the first Hemp that came out.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Okay, so maybe you’re referring to the CBD Serum, this is the one that we just replaced with the Hemp Serum.
Customer: And I also have a little left of that, yeah. And I have the Anti-Aging, so I kind of go back and forth. But I haven’t tried the new Activated Hemp Serum yet.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Okay. So both of them are excellent—you kind of can’t go wrong. But we can talk a little bit about the differences so you can decide what feels best for your skin.
The Anti-Aging Serum is one of our tried and true formulas. It’s not just one of—it is our bestselling product. People really love this one. Just like with the Aloe Herb Cleanser, I tell people if you’re feeling overwhelmed and don’t know where to start, the Anti-Aging Serum is a great place to begin. It’s the serum that comes in our Clean Beauty Trial Kit, which is often how people are first introduced to our line.

It’s good for all skin types, and it’s very antioxidant-rich. You’ve got life everlasting flowers, buddleja extract, some rose—plus it’s deeply hydrating. It contains non-GMO, vegetable-sourced hyaluronic acid, which is a humectant that binds water to the skin. Hyaluronic acid is often referred to as a “super hydrator”—it holds up to 1,000 times its weight in water. That deep hydration gives your skin a plumping effect and helps minimize the appearance of fine lines. On the flip side, if your skin is dehydrated, fine lines and texture will show up more prominently.
Scent-wise, this one is very floral and very herb-forward. Personally, it’s not my favorite scent profile, just because I prefer something lighter—but again, it’s our most popular product, so most people love it. I like to describe this serum as a daily dose of overall skin nutrition.
Now, the other one you mentioned is our Activated Hemp Serum. I’m honestly loving this one right now. I’ve always been a Wild Fruit Serum kind of girl—which we can talk about too—but lately, I’ve been reaching for the Hemp Serum more and more.
You used the CBD Serum before, right? So this is our updated version of that—it’s our new Activated Hemp Serum. We recently discontinued the CBD Serum and replaced it with this one. The formulas are very similar. One of the main reasons we made the switch was due to regulatory limitations—we could only sell the CBD Serum on a separate site, and it could only ship within the U.S. With this version, we’re able to offer it directly on our site and ship it internationally.
The previous CBD Serum used CBD from a company called Ojai Energetics. The Activated Hemp Serum uses whole hemp flower from a company called Onda Wellness. We’ve had some great calls with the owner and founder of the company, and their philosophy really aligns with ours. Their process of extracting and preserving nutrients is similar to our three-step infusion process, which helps maintain the integrity of the whole plant.
What’s really cool is that this hemp oil is infused from the whole flower—not just isolated CBD—so you’re getting a broader spectrum of beneficial properties. It’s like comparing a vitamin C packet to an actual orange: the packet has the isolated nutrient, but the orange gives you so many other naturally occurring compounds. This is a CBG-dominant hemp strain, as opposed to the CBD extract in the previous version.
The Hemp Serum is great for all skin types, but especially nice if you have sensitive or reactive skin. It’s very calming and soothing. Compared to the Anti-Aging Serum, the texture is much creamier and richer. The Anti-Aging is more aqueous and fluid—this one has a thicker, nourishing feel. It also contains hyaluronic acid, plus tremella mushroom extract, which is another super hydrator.
It’s packed with antioxidants too—astaxanthin, superoxide dismutase, mangosteen, and black cumin seed oil. I really love it in the summer. I’m not the best at staying out of the sun, and this one just feels so soothing if I’ve gotten too much sun. It feels reparative, like I’m giving my skin what it needs after environmental exposure.
The scent is really light and pleasant—not overpowering at all—so it’s great if you prefer something more subtle.
If you’re unsure about which serum to use, you can always rotate them. Use one in the morning, one at night, or switch every other day. That’s a nice way to incorporate a variety of ingredients into your routine.
Have you tried the Activated Night Serum yet?
Customer: I have a sample of it, but I haven’t tried it yet.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Okay. That could be a great one to incorporate, especially since you mentioned that your main focus is on signs of aging. This one is specifically designed to target that.
It contains our Bioactive A-Complex, which is our alternative to traditional retinol or prescription vitamin A derivatives like Retin-A. You’ve probably heard of retinol—it’s a very popular ingredient in anti-aging products. But it’s not ideal for overall health, particularly reproductive health, and it can also thin the skin over time if used excessively.
That’s why we created this product—to provide a similar benefit, but in a way that supports your skin’s natural barrier. Bioactive A helps accelerate skin renewal, which can minimize the appearance of fine lines and dark spots.
This serum has that thicker, creamy texture—so it feels really nourishing. And unlike traditional retinols, which can be harsh or irritating (especially for sensitive skin), we’ve formulated this with calming ingredients like chamomile and lavender to balance it out.
The Bioactive A-Complex is derived from algae, and it’s completely safe, it’s Made Safe approved.
The only thing with this serum is that you’ll want to use it only at night, and you do need to wear SPF during the day. So if you’re not great about wearing sun protection, this might not be the one for you. I love the serum, but honestly, I’m not always consistent with SPF unless I’m hiking or at the beach—which is not ideal for an esthetician, I know!
But if you are diligent about wearing sunscreen and want to address signs of aging more intensively, this is a great one to rotate in. You could do Anti-Aging in the morning and Activated Night in the evening, or Hemp Serum in the morning and Activated Night at night.
Customer: Okay. Can I ask you a quick question about serums?
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Absolutely.
Customer: I don't ever target my neck. Should I be doing that with the serum and the lotion? I just never think about it. I only do my face.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Yeah. So we don't have any products that are specifically for the neck and décolleté—that's a pretty common question. I typically just pull my products down. Like, it kind of depends, you know, if I'm just cleansing my face at the sink, I'm not cleansing down there because that's just messy, you know? Or like using an exfoliant or something like that—I only do that in the shower. But with my serums and my oils, I do massage them in and just kind of pull whatever excess I have down onto my neck.
Customer: Okay. Good to know. Thanks.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Yeah, yeah, of course.
Should we talk about the Wild Fruit Serum, or should we stop there?
Let's stop there and see what questions we have. I feel like we've already covered a lot.
Customer: My name's Lori and I'm really happy to be here. I am—I’ll be 62 in a couple of weeks. So we'll just say I'm 62. My daughter is into skincare. She's 23. She knows all about this stuff, but I'm kind of a minimalist and I love natural products. So even though I try to tell her that, she wants to fill up the cabinet with all kinds of things.
So when I hear about Annmarie and the natural, you know, that it's all natural. That really appeals to me. But again, in keeping a simple kind of routine, like what would be the minimum or where would I start? I see that little beginner’s kit or whatever. But you got my attention with the hemp one because I like that it’s a little thicker.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Mm-hmm.
Customer: I live in Las Vegas, so it’s very dry here. And I do use sunscreen. It was really hard to find something that didn’t make your face look white.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Yeah.
Customer: So I went to Ulta, followed my daughter in there, totally overwhelmed, said, “Just give me something.” Anyway, so where would I start? And I know I have an idea, but what would you recommend? And I also am an elementary school counselor, I work with kids, but I do outdoor duty as well. I am off for the summer right now, so I’m not dousing my skin with sun right now. I usually have an umbrella, so I do my best. But where do I start? I need help, but I need something basic to start with. And I don't even know the order. I do know about cleansers—that's usually first.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Yeah, that is right. As far as not doing much, I think that is fine. I think that it is fine to keep things simple, especially when you are just getting started with a skin care routine. To be honest, like I said, I have two kids and I’m kind of the esthetician who probably does the least on a regular basis. So the most basic routine that you want would be a cleanser and a moisturizer. And we’ll talk about some moisturizer options because there are kind of two options.
We’ve always just had facial oils as moisturizers. We just recently came out with our Restorative Facial Cream, so that is an option now as well. And we can talk about the differences. That is the most basic routine—you would do your cleanser and then apply either your facial oil or the Restorative Facial Cream.

If you want to add one more thing, you could do cleanser, toner, moisturizer. That’s a great place to start. Even just the two products. Then you can add and build from there if you feel like you want to add a serum, for example.
And you said it’s very dry where you are, so I would probably start with the Aloe Herb Cleanser. We talked about that one already—it’s great for everybody. Everybody loves it. You really can’t go wrong with it.
For moisturizer, a couple of options. As I mentioned, the Restorative Facial Cream is our newest product launch and it’s kind of a big deal. We’ve always only had oils as moisturizers. So this has been a long-awaited and very requested product. We still hold that oils are superior because they are more pure. They don’t require any fillers or waxes. Your skin’s natural form of moisture is oil, so it’s absorbed readily by the skin. And the reason it took so long to come out with this cream is that if we were going to do it, it had to uphold all our standards. And it really is wonderful!
Typically, we recommend serum and oil, with your serum being your hydrator. There is the difference between dehydrated skin (lacking water) and dry skin (lacking oil). Most people have both a little bit of dehydration and dryness. So we recommend that combination of serum (hydrator) and oil (moisturizer). This new product is both—a hydrator and a moisturizer, which is fantastic.
Ideally, you still use your serum and then follow with this, but this could be your serum and oil in one if you were trying to keep things really simple.
The base is helichrysum hydrosol and Reishi tremella mushroom infused aloe blend (hydration), plus shea butter, murumuru butter, and andiroba oil (moisture). It’s packed with activated ingredients like apple exosomes and pineapple ceramides.
It’s not super heavy; it feels lightweight, and gives a more matte finish (instead of the dewy look oils give). That would be a great place to start—Aloe herb cleanser and Restorative Facial Cream.
Then, depending on your SPF, you can use the Sun Love Everyday Sheer Sunscreen as your daytime moisturizer and the Restorative Cream as your nighttime moisturizer. Or you could layer the cream and sunscreen.
If you’re not in the sun, you could just use the cream during the day. It’s super simple—cleanser, hydration, moisturizer, and activated ingredients for anti-aging benefits.
Customer: Okay. That makes sense.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Great.
Let’s talk a little more about our SPF. Our Sun Love Everyday Sheer Sunscreen is an SPF 20, it’s a non-nano zinc oxide, it’s reef safe, with pumpkin seed oil and baru fruit oil, so it feels really nourishing.
You can use it on its own as a daytime moisturizer. For most people, it feels like enough moisture.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: So that is a great place to start. A good basic routine and then you can add and build from there if you would like. If you want to incorporate the Neroli Toning Mist or the Activated Hemp Serum you can.
Okay, cool. So let's see. What other questions do we have? Do we have other questions? Do we wanna talk about other serums or oils? Or maybe we wanna talk about exfoliants or—anything else?
Customer: Yeah. So I think I figured out what I have and maybe what I need. So I accidentally got the Anti-Aging Eye Cream.
Emily Haupt-Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Okay. Now, you know, you can never go wrong with that, right?
Customer: But for keeping it simple, I’ve got a cleanser. I’ve got the toning mist, and then I need a moisturizer, right? So it sounds like I could use both the Anti-Aging Serum and the facial oil. Because you said that serums hydrate and oils moisturize.
Emily Haupt-Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Yes. That’s right.
Customer: Okay, but if you were gonna do one or the other—serum or face oil—which would be preferred?
Emily Haupt-Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician:So if you're gonna choose a serum or an oil, I would always choose an oil.
But the other option, like we just talked about, would be that you could do the Restorative Facial Cream, and this could kind of be your serum and your moisturizer. So you could do your… Do you have the Aloe Herb Cleanser? And Neroli mist?
Customer: No, the rosemary.
Emily Haupt-Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Oh, right. I love the rosemary.
So the Rosemary Toning Mist, and then the Restorative Facial Cream.
Customer: So that would be pretty simple, and then I could just use one and not two.
Emily Haupt-Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Right.
Customer: So when I’m online, it looks like that Restorative Cream is pretty expensive.
Emily Haupt-Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: It is. So you don’t have to choose that. You could choose one of the facial oils instead.
And did you say that you are more dry? Or what’s your skin type?
Customer: Isn’t that interesting? I guess at this age, before I was always normal/combo and now I guess I’m dry, mature skin.
Emily Haupt-Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Okay.
So you could do the Anti-Aging Facial Oil if you wanted to choose an oil. And that would probably be a nice combination because you have the Rosemary mist. So it sounds like previously you were more normal/combo, so with this one you’re getting like I said, that hydration and then also the bit of purifying benefit from the rosemary, and then the moisture from the Anti-Aging Facial Oil.
So you could do that, your Aloe Herb Cleanser, Rosemary Toning Mist, and Anti-Aging Facial Oil.
Customer: And then I just get to decide whether I hang on to the Anti-Aging Eye Cream or whether I return it and order something new.
Do you have anything wonderful to say about the Anti-Aging Eye Cream and why I might wanna keep that?

Emily Haupt-Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Ha, yes actually, I do! I love our eye cream. I use it pretty consistently. Like I said, if I use nothing, I am at least using a toning mist and the eye cream. I feel like my eyes are my main area of concern and they also feel dry all the time. So I feel like I really need the eye cream. It’s a pretty essential step for me, in my routine.
I actually just ran out of it recently and I was using our lip balm around my eyes. So I do love that product and I mean I think an eye cream is a great product to incorporate into any routine. Ours feels very nourishing. It’s got the cucumber distillate, so it’s great for puffiness and cooling. It’s got the damas rose plant cells, which are great for the look of fine lines and crow’s feet. So I think it would be great to keep it. But with that being said, we are pretty flexible with our return and exchange policy. So if you’re feeling like you want to get something else, you absolutely could. I’ll put the email for customer care into the chat, and Kate and Katie are both wonderful and they can help you out if you wanna switch it out.
But I feel like an eye cream is kind of a staple, at least for me anyways.
Customer: Okay. It’s actually the lines around my mouth, that’s my main place of concern now. That’s why I got that lip balm. I’ve never smoked, but I’ve gotten these lines. I used to teach snow skiing in Taos, New Mexico, and it is so dry there. And you know, when you’re skiing, this is what’s exposed.
Emily Haupt-Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Mm-hmm.
Customer: And I kind of feel like I really dried out. I, I don’t know, I might have aged the exact same amount, but yeah, it’s definitely noticeable for the ladies that are teaching skiing after all these years that their skin is kind of taking a beating out there.
Emily Haupt-Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician:Yeah.
Well, you actually can use the eye cream in that area as well.
Customer: Ok, good. I like that. Multipurpose.
Emily Haupt-Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician:Yes!
Customer: Ok, good. I think I’ve got it. All very helpful.
Emily Haupt-Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Good.
Customer: Because if you’re just looking at the website it’s not in any kind of sequence, so you kind of have to know what you’re looking for, so this is a great educational opportunity.
Emily Haupt-Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Good. You’re so welcome. And I totally agree. I’ve said it multiple times. I feel like our website is really confusing for somebody that does not know the line, but I’m not in charge of that.
Emily Haupt-Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Okay, you guys we still have 30 minutes on the call, so we have plenty of time if anybody feels like they have any other questions.
Customer: I have a question. You had talked about how our skin loves oil, but I’ve read that it can clog the pores. Like coconut oil or olive oil? Would that not be good for the skin?
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: So it really just depends on the type of oil. I would definitely not generally say that oil clogs your pores. I struggled with acne for a long time and used to think no oil could touch me. Now I’m the opposite—I’ll lather myself in oil!
My personal recommendation is jojoba oil. Jojoba closely mimics the texture of your skin’s natural sebum, so for me, that has always been a go-to.
From a brand perspective, we recommend jojoba as a great choice for dry and mature skin, but honestly, I think it’s great for all skin types.
I also want to mention—Rach (or maybe it was Annmarie) just posted a blog that goes over all the different oils and why you might choose them. I’ll drop the link in the chat for that blog.
It talks about several different types of oils and compares them, so the post can really help you decide which ones might work best for your skin.
Our facial oils all have different bases. For example, the Anti-Aging Facial Oil is jojoba-based. Our Herbal Facial Oils—all three—are grapeseed oil-based, which is a light textured, skin-balancing oil. The Radiate Facial Oil is sesame-based, and the Rejuvenating Facial Oil is jojoba-based as well.
Customer: Thanks! I figured maybe olive and coconut oils are thicker and better for the body, not the face.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: For the body, you can usually be more flexible—coconut and olive oil are typically fine to use there. But for the face, I’d lean more toward something like jojoba or grapeseed oil.
We do have a full line of body products too. Radiant Skin Silk is our body lotion. We also have body oils. The Coconut Body Oil is our original and super popular. Divine Woods is another option—just a different scent profile, more earthy and woodsy.
And then we have the Palo Santo Body Butter—much richer and thicker. All great options depending on your texture and scent preferences!

Customer: The body oils sound fabulous. The scent alone is wonderful!
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Yes, they really are. They’re ideal for after a shower when your skin is still damp—helps lock in hydration beautifully.
So, where do we want to go from here? Do you have more questions? I can also talk about exfoliants, masks, or boosters—whatever you'd like!
Customer: Actually, I have a question about exfoliants. My skin feels like it’s thinning, so I stopped using them. I was using the charcoal one, but maybe I was overdoing it. What do you recommend for mature skin?
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Great question. Exfoliation can definitely be a fine line. You don’t want to overdo it and risk thinning the skin or causing irritation. But on the flip side, not exfoliating at all can lead to a layer of buildup, which can prevent your serums and oils from fully absorbing and working effectively.
That said, everyone’s skin is different. Maybe your skin only needs exfoliation once a week—or even less frequently.
Also, keep in mind that some of our products provide gentle exfoliation even if they’re not technically exfoliants. For example, the Activated Night Serum includes our Bioactive A Complex (our retinol alternative), which supports skin renewal and has a resurfacing effect.
The Phytonutrient Cleanser also contains malic acid, which adds a very gentle exfoliating element.
A really good exfoliating option that is newer, that I’ve been loving is the Radiant C Mask and Polish. It’s a beautiful, fine pink powder made with bamboo stem powder (physical exfoliant) and hibiscus (which contains natural alpha hydroxy acids for chemical exfoliation).
You can mix it with water or a cleanser for a light polish, or use it as a treatment mask. I love mixing it with our Illuminating Pearl Mask or even raw honey for extra hydration and brightening.
Customer: That sounds great. How should I apply it? Any special technique?
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: You can apply it a few ways, but I recommend mixing it with your Pearl Mask or honey, applying it, and letting it sit for 15–20 minutes. When you rinse it off, dampen your skin first and gently massage in small circles to activate the bamboo exfoliation. It’s gentle but effective—perfect for mature or sensitive skin.
Customer: Thank you, that’s very helpful!
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Of course! Happy to help. Are there any other questions or products you’d like to talk about?
Customer: Just a quick note—I used Annmarie products a long time ago, I think right when you were getting started. I just recently ordered the starter kit and really like it. But now there are so many natural skincare brands out there, it’s hard to know what’s best.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Totally understand—it can definitely be overwhelming. One thing that sets us apart is our MADE SAFE® certification, which is a really rigorous standard for clean ingredients. It’s a great way to feel confident in what you’re using. But ultimately, it comes down to finding what your skin loves.
Customer: Thanks for the advice. I appreciate your help!
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: You’re so welcome! If anything else comes up, feel free to reach out to our customer care team. Thanks for spending time with me today. I hope everyone has an awesome afternoon!
